First, we’d like to say a huge THANK YOU for being part of Workaway, and for sticking with us through these uncertain times!

It was a year that was unlike any other, and we cannot be more grateful to have witnessed the many ways our hosts have been and still are sharing their homes and projects, creating new ties and possibilities within their communities, and inspiring our workawayers (as well as the Workaway team!) with their visions and unique life experiences. There’s nothing more valuable than these cultural exchanges and learning opportunities that are made possible by your generosity — which is why Workaway has always been free for hosts and will remain this way.

It’s our turn to give back!

We also know that many of you are doing something truly meaningful to give back to the local community. If you believe your project, or another Workaway project that you know of, could benefit from some financial support to make even more positive impacts, please do write and tell us about your goals, as well as how some extra funds can help.

Looking for a Workawayer?

If you would like to actively invite workawayers to stay with you, make sure to try the “Find a Workawayer” button on your “My Account” profile page. Add a keyword, such as “garden” or “house sitting” and also dates and country if appropriate.
There is also an option to see who’s close to your location on a map so you can contact workawayers nearby.

For those who are looking for immediate help, you can add yourself to the “Last Minute” list with the checkbox on your “My Account” page.
It would be great if you could keep your profile and calendar updated too. We know there are many workawayers who are interested to come, share and help!
